Sorcerer Lodge

Chef – Winter 2026/27 Season

Sorcerer Lodge is seeking a skilled and motivated Chef to join our team for the 2026/27 winter season.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a remote backcountry setting, preparing high-quality meals for guests while contributing to an exceptional lodge experience. Plus, you’ll get to ski in some of the most epic terrain around!

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare and serve:
  • Breakfast
  • Lunches (packed for in the field)
  • Appetizers (ready for skiers to arrive home)
  • Dinner
  • Desserts
• Cook for groups of up to 20 guests.
• Ensure all meals are prepared and served on schedule.
• Accommodate all food allergies, make alternative dish if needed.
• Complete thorough food inventory counts at the end of each trip and submit reports to the town-based logistics contact on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
• Provide friendly and professional interactions with guests.
• Be creative with leftovers and try to eliminate as much waste as possible.

Qualifications

Required:

• Experience independently cooking for groups of up to 20 people. Food Safe Level 1.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Comfortable communicating via radio, including during emergencies.
• Valid 80-hour First Aid certification (or equivalent).

Assets

• Previous experience working in a remote or backcountry setting.
• Backcountry skiing or snowboarding experience.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and enjoys working in a backcountry environment. They take pride in delivering excellent meals and helping create a memorable guest experience.
